VeteransPlus expands service

CLEARWATER -- VeteransPlus, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that offers financial education services to veterans, launched a new website this week to help connect veterans to charitable organizations.'¨

The new site, called the Yellow Ribbon Registry Network, is a centralized online resource that connects veterans seeking assistance to multiple charities through one unified application process. The project was funded through a grant from The Ryder Charitable Foundation, a division of Ryder System Inc. (symbol: R). Ryder is a multi-billion dollar supply chain management firm based in Miami.

The Yellow Ribbon Network currently connects to nine charities for veterans, including USA Cares, Rebuild Hope and Blue Star Families.
