Home prices keep falling

As nationwide home prices fell for the sixth month in a row, both the state of Florida and the Gulf Coast region specifically saw further decreases.

Across the U.S., home prices fell 5.7%, according to CoreLogic. In Florida, the drop was even more significant, at 8.5%.

Each of the Gulf Coast's three major metropolitan areas saw market-wide declines as well. In Cape Coral-Fort Myers, prices fell 3.07%; in Sarasota-Bradenton, prices fell 7.04%; and in Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, home prices dropped by 9.23%.
