Radio free Scott airs out job campaign

Florida Gov. Rick Scott hit the airwaves Jan. 14 to give his first weekly radio address as governor.

Calling Florida “the gateway to the Americas,” and “the best place in the world for companies to bring their business,” Scott announced mutual trade missions in Florida and Japan after meeting Jan. 9 with the Japanese foreign minister for international trade.

In his 100-second talk, Scott referred to Florida as “the job state.” He announced that he discussed opportunities last week to increase international trade and bring jobs to the state with consuls general of several European countries and Canada's foreign minister.
