TAMPA — North Pinellas Anesthesia Associates and Northwood Anesthesia Associates, a combined anesthesia provider based in Tampa that works with area hospitals and surgical centers, sold to Emergency Medical Services Corp. (symbol: EMS) today.

The acquired firm will continue to operate under its present brand, a release explained. EMS estimates that the acquisition could contribute $15 million in annual net revenues to its income statement.

EMS Corp. is based in Greenwood Village, Colo. The company earned $2.6 billion in revenues in 2009.
