Savtira adds CFO, directors

YBOR CITY — Savtira Corp. announced today that Chris Deering and Louis Rossi would be joining the company as members of its board, bringing the firm's total number of directors to three.

Deering is a gaming industry veteran, having served as CEO of PlayStation Europe from the subsidiary's first days in 1995 through 2005. From 1991 to 1995, he was chief operating officer for Columbia/Tristar International Video.

Rossi has written books about network engineering for McGraw Hill and Genium Publishing. He has worked previously as a consultant and IT instructor to several Fortune 500 companies, including Global Knowledge, one of Cisco Systems Inc.'s largest partners.

Last Friday, the company announced that Paul Commerato would be its new chief financial officer. Commerato has worked previously for MTV Networks and its sister companies. Most recently, he worked for Genius Products LLC, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based company with $600 million in annual revenues.

Savtira Corp. will hire 65 new employees in early 2011 to staff a new office in Ybor City. The company began doing business in 2010, providing online business platforms to publishers, software developers, retailers, and other companies.
