Sypris adds Europe subsidiary

TAMPA — Sypris Solutions Inc. (symbol: SYPR), parent to Tampa-based Sypris Electronics LLC, will open a new subsidiary in Copenhagen, Denmark, called Sypris Europe.

The new business will take from Tampa's corporate citizenship: Michael Stokes will leave the area to become managing director for the new company.

Sypris Europe will hope to add business in the defense and aerospace industries, setting its sights on NATO and the European Union as potential clients. The goal is to boost revenues for Sypris Electronics, which is a design and manufacturing firm.
