Profits up for Beasley, Kforce

NAPLES — Beasley Broadcast Group Inc. (symbol: BBGI) enjoyed a 131.6% increase in annual net income from 2009 to 2010. The company earned $8.0 million in net income, compared to $3.4 million the year before.

Annual revenues rose only slightly — up 1.3%, to $98.0 million — but operating expenses went down 5%, or $4.0 million, for the Naples-based radio broadcasting company.

Instead of having to open new locations to achieve growth, increased revenues came from improved performance in same-station business.
