BayStar to manage two hotels

TAMPA — Bay Cities Bank retained Tampa-based BayStar Hotel Group LLC to manage two of its hotel properties.

The first is the Lakeland Hotel and Conference Center, located on U.S. Highway 98 North in Lakeland. That property contains 157 rooms on four floors, along with 3,500 square feet of meeting and banquet space. It is the official hotel of Major League Baseball's Detroit Tigers during spring training.

The second property is the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport Inn, located near the corner of Ulmerton Road and Roosevelt Boulevard. A former Best Western, the two-story hotel contains 117 rooms.
