MediHealth bought by Conifer

Dallas-based Conifer Health Solutions purchased MediHealth Outsourcing LLC, a Tampa-based firm that offers health information management services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Paula Lawlor, president at MediHealth, will remain with Conifer as the leader of its consolidated health information service offerings. Further, all 12 current MediHealth employees will remain with the company following the merger.

Conifer Health Solutions is a subsidiary of Tenet Healthcare Corp. (symbol: THC), a company with more than $9 billion in 2009 revenue.
