Who's up for a trip over to Mexico?
The Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corp. is leading a trade mission Nov. 7-12 to Mexico City and Guadalajara to generate trade opportunities for local businesses.
The group formerly known as the Committee of 100 is organizing the mission with the Tampa Port Authority, Enterprise Florida, the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Commercial Service. Mexico is recognized as the nation's third-largest trading partner, behind China and Canada, with exports and imports totaling at least $3 billion last year.
“By establishing relationships among Mexican and U.S. investors, business and government trade officials, many Hillsborough County companies can find fertile markets for their goods and services in Mexico,” says Keith Norden, president and CEO of the Tampa Hillsborough EDC.
The registration fee for the trip is $595 for standard delegates and will include group economic briefings, receptions and networking events, ground transportation and hotel/airport transfers. There is also a package that offers one-on-one appointments with potential trade partners, which costs $1,770. The deadline to register is Friday, Sept. 24.
