Tampa lawyer joins PSC

Gov. Charlie Crist added Tampa's Julie Brown to the Florida Public Service Commission Sept. 21.

Brown and Eduardo Balbis of West Palm Beach will replace Nancy Argenzenio and Nathan Skop on the PSC.

Brown currently serves as associate legal counsel for First American Corp., an Orange County, Calif.-based company. From 2004 to 2006 she was an assistant city attorney for Tampa, and she has served on the city of Tampa's Architectural Review Commission since 2006.

Brown received her law degree from the University of Florida.
