Tampa-based Syniverse Technologies Inc. (symbol: SVR) is being purchased by the Carlyle Group, a San Francisco-based organization, for $31 a share, representing a 35% premium over the company's 30-day closing price.
Once the transaction closes, Syniverse will become a private company. The deal values Syniverse at $2.6 billion.
