CORE buys Walton Construction

After six months of discussions, Sarasota-based CORE Construction Services of Florida LLC has acquired Walton Construction LLC, a Kansas City-based company, for an undisclosed amount.

The combined company will have offices in seven states. Further, CORE will add a number of existing Walton contracts to its books, and roughly 240 Walton employees to its payroll, says CORE President John Wiseman.

“Our common area of expertise strengthens our position in many industry sectors,” Wiseman said, referring to CORE's activity in senior housing, education, and municipal markets, among others.
