SRI Surgical expands service

SRI/Surgical Express Inc. signed a three-year agreement with Premier Purchasing Partners LP to connect SRI's sterilization services with more than 2,400 hospitals and 70,000 other health care providers served by Premier.

Representing the second consecutive contract between the two parties, SRI will sterilize and reprocess surgical instrument trays used at client hospitals.

SRI provides processing and supply chain services to hospitals and surgery centers in 25 different states. In early August, the company announced it had lost $1.8 million over the first six months of 2010.
