Bense made Chamber chair

The Florida Chamber of Commerce elected Allan Bense to lead as board chairman. Bense is a former Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives.

Bense's career in the Florida House spanned eight years, from 1998 to 2006. He served as speaker during the last three years of his tenure as a state congressman.

Past chairs of the chamber's board of directors include Steve Halverson, CEO of The Haskell Company; Marshall M. Criser, III, president of AT&T Florida; and Susan Story, CEO of Gulf Power.
