Source Interlink Media acquired Grind Networks, an action sports entertainment content provider. Financial terms were not disclosed on the deal, which was completed earlier this month.

Grind manages a diverse portfolio of action sports media platforms, including magazines such as Surfer, Skateboarder, and Powder, as well as websites, including Snowboarder.com and Skateboard.com. The combined entity will reach an audience of roughly 10 million action sports enthusiasts, the company estimates.

And that audience is a valuable one, says Source Interlink President Chris Argentieri. "We believe the combined entity will provide the most compelling option to marketers targeting the extremely valuable 18-35-year-old demographic group that drives this industry,” Argentieri said.

Argentieri was named president of the Bonita Springs-based company just a month ago.
