Interop furnishes MMS services

Interop Technologies, a Fort Myers-based cellular service technology company, will provide multimedia messaging service (MMS) to the users of SouthernLINC Wireless' cellular network.

SouthernLINC serves a 128,000-square mile coverage area that includes Alabama, Georgia, and parts of Mississippi and Florida. The new partnership will give SouthernLINC subscribers access to MMS for the first time.

SouthernLINC is a subsidiary of Southern Co. (symbol: SO), the Atlanta-based utility giant that provides service to 4.4 million customers.
