Crist bounce over, Rubio retakes lead

Results of a recent Rasmussen poll show Republicans ran from newly Independent Gov. Charlie Crist's U.S. Senate campaign into the arms of Republican Marco Rubio, giving the former Florida House Speaker a 39% to 31% advantage over Crist.


Democrat Kendrick Meek received 18% support, nudging out undecideds at 12%.


Crist's support among Republicans dropped from 30% two weeks ago to 23% while Rubio's grew to 68%, an increase of 10 points from the previous survey.


Just two weeks earlier, after Crist announced he was running as an Independent, the governor led 38% to 34% over Rubio.
