Fintech awarded top prize

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has named Financial Information Technologies Inc. (Fintech) its 2010 Small Business of the Year. The Tampa-based company is led by CEO Scott Riley.

“Fintech may be a small business but it has made an enormous impact,” said Thomas J. Donohue, U.S. Chamber president and CEO, who oversaw America's Small Business Summit 2010 this week.

The roughly 1,300 distributors served by Fintech nationwide use the company's electronic fund and data transfer service offering to move more than $40 million a day.

Scott Riley's company was featured in the Business Review in 2008.
