Gerdau Ameristeel COO resigns

Terry Sutter, chief operating officer at Gerdau Ameristeel Corp., will leave his current position May 21. A press release issued by the company said his decision was made for personal reasons.

Gerdau President Mario Longhi thanked Sutter for his services in the release.

Revenues at Gerdau were down significantly in 2009 relative to previous years. The $4.2 billion the company earned last year represented a sharp decline from 2008's $8.5 billion.
