Tigrent board adds a former CEO

James Bass is the latest addition to the board of directors at Tigrent Inc., a Cape Coral-based financial education service provider.

Bass served previously as CEO at several companies, including Piper Aircraft Inc., a manufacturing company; Suntron Corp., an electronics-manufacturing firm; and EFTC Corp., a Suntron subsidiary. He also served as a senior vice president at Sony Corp. for eight years.

Bass will chair Tigris' governance and nominating committee, and will also serve on the company's audit committee.

The release announcing Bass' appointment also said that Jason Hammerman had resigned from the company's board.
