Tung to Tech Data board

Tech Data Corp. has added Savio Tung to its board of directors and audit committee, according to a company release. Tung replaces John Williams, who retired earlier this month after serving on the company's board since 1988.

Tung is a founding partner of Investcorp, which in 1984 opened its doors as an international investment company based in the Middle Eastern nation of Bahrain. Prior to that, Tung worked for Chase Manhattan Bank for 11 years.

Tech Data Corp. (NASDAQ: TECD) is the largest company on the Gulf Coast, with a market capitalization of nearly $2 billion.
