Roper buys iTradeNetwork

Roper Industries Inc. agreed to purchase iTradeNetwork Inc., a software development company, for $525 million in cash, a release said. ITradeNetwork provides supply chain management software solutions to clients in the food industry, and is based in Pleasanton, Calif.

The firm is being sold by Accel-KKR, which became a majority owner of iTradeNetwork in 2007.

According to a company release, Roper expects to generate more than $55 million in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) from this latest purchase for the 2011 fiscal year.
