Short extensions, or short sight?

It's a good thing Lee County isn't your old history professor in college, the one who wouldn't grant that term-paper extension even if you had the best excuse.


Lee County commissioners recently voted to extend more than 500 residential and commercial permits in unincorporated Lee County that expired since Jan. 1, 2006. The economic downturn is to blame for most of these permit expirations. But commissioners may be a little optimistic about the recovery in construction. The extensions are for just six months.
