Lennar building despite market

This may not be the best time to build new homes in the Gulf Coast region. But that isn't stopping Miami-based Lennar Homes from moving ahead with building plans in Pasco County.

Lennar's Central Florida Division introduced 15 new floor plans for single-family homes with three to six bedrooms at Concord Station, a development along State Road 54 two miles east of the Suncoast Parkway in Land O' Lakes.

Construction is set to start on at least 100 new homes at Concord Station, according to Mark Metheny, Lennar's local division president. One new model home will be finished next month, he says.

Home prices at Concord Station range from 1,340 to 3,210 square feet, with prices in the $150,000s, well below the current average home sale price for Pasco.
