Tech Data acquires DLI assets

Tech Data Corp. will acquire a group of select assets from DLI (Distribuicao e Logistica para Informatica) S.A., a Portuguese company. Those assets include inventory, several employees, and a list of customers, a release said.

With approximately $157 million in 2009 revenues, DLI could help Tech Data expand its business reach into Europe. Indeed, Tech Data CEO Robert Dutkowsky referred to the transaction as “yet another example of our strategy to extend our product portfolio to a broader base of customers.”

Based in Clearwater, Tech Data Corp. has earned more than $22 billion in revenue over the last 12 months.
