PRICE: $1.5 million

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Microlumen Enterprises LLC, a Tampa-based manufacturer of high-performance medical tubing, purchased 6.5 acres on Forrest Lakes Boulevard, north of Tampa Road, for $1.5 million.

The purchase price equated to $230,061 per acre. Officials with Microlumen Enterprises declined to comment.

Microlumen Enterprises is building a 58,835-square-foot office/warehouse building on the property. A notice of commencement for the project lists Ed Taylor Construction South Inc. as the general contractor.

Microlumen Enterprises mortgaged the property to SunTrust Bank for $8.59 million. The company also agreed to a $6.16-million bond for the construction with Berkley Regional Insurance Co.
