It has to have been a tough few years for Georgia football fans living on the Gulf Coast of Florida, ever since that quarterback landed in Gainesville.
But for a pair of business owners that wear red, white and black on autumn Saturdays, the final scores don't seem to have affected their bottom lines.
Last week, the University of Georgia announced its inaugural class for the “Bulldog 100,” a list that identifies the fastest growing companies that are either owned or operated by UGA alumni.
Two Gulf Coast companies made the list: Tampa-based Resource Providers, Inc. and Floors By Design of Sarasota.
Resource Providers, led by CEO Allen Clifford, helps medical professionals transfer physical copies of notes and records into electronic formats.
The company was featured in a July 2009 issue of the Review, at which time Clifford estimated his company's revenues would double in 2010, and cited a roster of more than 900 clients.
Floors by Design is led by David Gruber, selected as the Longboat Key, Lido Key, and St. Armands Key Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Person of the Year in 2003.
