Venture Forum deadline nears

The Florida Venture Forum is making a final call for sponsors and participants. Private companies in search of additional capital have until the end of the year to apply for the opportunity to present at the 2011 forum in February.

To date, Florida Venture Forum presenting companies have raised roughly $2 billion in venture capital to fund their business ideas, event organizers say. At its most recent conference, 200 venture capital firms from the U.S., Europe, and South America were in attendance.

Interested applicants must apply online, as hard copy applications are not accepted. To apply, visit http://apply.flvencap.org to create a login I.D. and password. A select committee will review applications, and between 20 and 25 high growth firms will be invited to present.

The 2011 Florida Venture Capital Conference will take place on Feb. 3 and 4, 2011, at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla. Additional information is available at the Florida Venture Forum's website.
