Bonita Bay Group suit dismissed

Circuit Court Judge Michael T. McHugh has dismissed the complaint filed by Florida's Attorney General against the Bonita Bay Group. The state had claimed that Bonita Bay Group's interpretation of its club membership contracts constituted fraud.

“The Attorney General sued, seeking to convert what at worst can be described as a private contract dispute into a case of deception, and the court rightly rejected that misguided effort,” said Bud Kirk, legal counsel for Bonita Bay Group, in a release.
