Alico CFO to resign

Alico Inc. Chief Financial Officer Patrick Murphy notified company directors that he would soon be resigning, a company release says. Murphy will continue to work with Alico until a replacement is identified, so the exact date of his resignation has not been determined.

Murphy cited personal reasons, as well as a desire to pursue other interests, as his reasons for leaving, and explicitly stated that no disagreements with management were had.

"Alico is very appreciative of Patrick's contributions to Alico, both as CFO for the past five years and as controller and in other accounting department capacities for 15 of the last 18 years," said Alico CEO JD Alexander.

Alico Inc. is a land management company based in La Belle. The company owns approximately 135,500 acres of land throughout Florida.
