Certain assets of Citrus Health Care Inc. were sold to Centene Corp. today, just months after Citrus was purchased by PHC Holdings of Florida Inc., a subsidiary of San Antonio-based WellMed Medical Management Inc.

Multiple senior officials at WellMed were reached, but each refused to comment on the rather quick turnaround associated with the deal.

For Centene, a St. Louis-based Fortune 500 company, the purchase will add between $120 million and $130 million to the firm's annual revenues. While earnings will not be impacted in 2010, a small boost — between $0.08 and $0.10 per share — is expected in 2011 and beyond.

Centene Corp. generated more than $4.1 billion in revenues in 2009.
