Interop's James Dwyer dies

James A. Dwyer, Jr., co-founder of Interop Technologies, died Aug. 6. He was 73.

Along with his son John, Dwyer co-founded the Fort Myers-based technology company in 2002. James Dwyer was the company's chairman at the time of his death.

Dwyer's telecommunications career started more than 50 years ago, a release issued by Interop says, when he accepted an entry-level position with Radio Engineering Labs Inc. in 1958.
