Some seasonality issues, along with a continued effort toward integrating a recent acquisition, kept business from growing significantly for Technology Research Corp. But the Clearwater-based company stayed profitable.

Technology Research Corp. brought in $10.4 million in revenue in the quarter ended on June 30, up $0.7 million from the same time period a year ago. But while gross sales increased, profits fell 50%, from $1.2 million to $600,000.

Owen Farren, the company's CEO, says the change in profitability had more to do with last year's successes than shortcomings this year.
