Florida Realtors publish study

Florida Realtors has completed a study on the effects of the state's recent wave of foreclosures, and today published findings from its research.

The study, entitled “The Face of Foreclosure,” looks at the impact on individual homeowners in Florida, as well as on the entire market, caused by foreclosure activity.

One major finding, according to John Sebree, Florida Realtors vice president of public policy, is the prevalence of what he calls the “plus one” effect, a scenario where homeowners were not forced into foreclosure by unsustainable debt levels alone, but by the effects of several compounded factors.
