Unemployment numbers stabilize

The unemployment rate for the state of Florida has leveled off at 10.7% for August 2009, almost unchanged from last month's 10.8%, according to the Agency for Workforce Innovation.

The national rate for August was 9.7%.

Experts think the state is near the bottom of the market. “The relative stability of Florida's unemployment rate over the past few months is encouraging,” says Agency for Workforce Innovation Director Cynthia R. Lorenzo.
