atLarge, Inc. wins Stevie Award

Sarasota-based atLarge, Inc. recently become the first local business in the region to win an American Business Award, also known as a Stevie Award. The web marketing and digital advertising firm beat out companies including John Hancock Funds in winning the 2009 award for Best Software Programming and Design.

The 15 employee-company won the award for its work with IMG Academies, where it redesigned the company's Web site, blog and advertising strategy. The company was also recognized as a runner-up in another category, for its work on the Sarasota Film Festival Web site.

The company, founded by local entrepreneur Anand Pallegar, has grown into a major player in the local Web advertising and design industry. Clients include the Observer Group, parent of the Review.
