Breakfast with the AG: The Manatee Chamber of Commerce will host a breakfast meeting with Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Stoneybrook Golf & Country Club, 7900 Stone Harbour Loop, Bradenton. Lunch with the president: Wilson Bradshaw, the newly installed president of Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, will discuss the role of the university in attracting new business at a lunch hosted by the Real Estate Investment Society at Pelican Preserve off Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers. Fundraisers' forum: The Community Foundation of Sarasota County's Nonprofit Resource Center, the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Southwest Florida Planned Giving Council will hold a forum for nonprofit leaders and board members starting at 8:30 a.m. at Cardinal Mooney High School, 4171 Fruitville Road, Sarasota. The meeting will feature Stacy Palmer, editor of The Chronicle of Philanthropy, who will discuss how charities are grappling with the struggling economy.
