Banks

• Gold Bank recently announced the addition of three new employees:

Don Stuart, vice president and asset management adviser, will help clients preserve, accumulate and manage their assets and offer trust services. He previously worked for RBC Centura.

Peter Young, a residential lending officer for Manatee County, will help clients obtain residential mortgages. He previously worked for Aegis Lending in Sarasota.

Susan Snyder, assistant vice president and branch manager at the Beneva office, will be in charge of the day-to-day operations and growth of the branch. She previously worked for SunTrust Bank.

Board of Directors

• The Suncoast Center for Independent Living elected Howard O. Royer to its board of directors. Royer owns his own financial management firm, Howard Royer Consulting.

Education

• Pianist, composer and Manatee Community College professor Dr. Leonidas Sarakatsannis has been selected for inclusion in a Who's Who in the World 2005. He has performed as a pianist throughout the United States and in Guam, Saipan, Hawaii and Japan. His background also includes work as a conductor.

Health Care

• Denise Alabach, an MRI technologist at Manatee Diagnostic Center, has been accepted to the Graduate Program in Healthcare Administration at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Medicine.

Nonprofit

The Children's Miracle Network co-founders presented the 2005 Founders Award to Brett Hutchens, CEO and president of Sarasota-based Casto Lifestyle Properties. Hutchens is also a founding member of the Children's Miracle Network board of directors.

Real Estate

• Tom Cail of the Cail Team with RE/MAX Properties has achieved membership into the RE/MAX Chairman's Club, which is the highest single year honor that RE/MAX bestows upon a sales associate. In addition, Cail achieved membership into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame.

With Pic • Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate Inc. announced that Barbara Ackerman was recognized as the top sales associate in the Sarasota Bay Region. Ackerman specializes in residential properties.
