Trust company promotes official to CFO

Nancy Hackett has more than 25 years of experience in accounting.

SANIBEL — Nancy Hackett has been promoted to CFO of The Sanibel Captiva Trust Co.

Hackett, according to a statement, has more than 25 years of experience in accounting and oversees all aspects of the firm’s operating budget and applications and manages expense projections to support the firm’s growth. She will work out of the firm’s Naples office.

“Nancy has done an outstanding job at The Trust Co. over the last five years and managed the firm’s finances during a time of tremendous growth and expansion to new markets,” S. Albert D. Hanser, founder and chairman of The Sanibel Captiva Trust and holding company SanCap Group Inc. says in the statement. “We could not be more confident in her abilities to see us into the future.”

Hackett also collaborates with the chief compliance officer and independent financial audit teams on a regular basis, the release states, and is an integral partner in the firm’s strategic planning effort. Prior to joining The Sanibel Captiva Trust Co., she was director of finance at software company Five9 Inc., followed by Aggressor LLC. She also served as a project manager and consultant to Oracle and PeopleSoft in Northern California for several years.

The Sanibel Captiva Trust Co. is an independent trust company with $2.5 billion in assets under management, founded in 2001. The Naples Trust Co. and The Tampa Bay Trust Co. are divisions of The Sanibel Captiva Trust Co.
