A well-known Tampa investor’s real estate investment and development firm is building 40 high-end town houses in one of the city’s most well-known suburbs.

The development is being built by the Prosper Group, whose CEO and founder is Jay Roberts. Roberts has been working in real estate in the area for 15 years and launched Prosper last year.

This $17 million town house project is the first deal Prosper has announced.

The town houses will be built on 3.1 acres at 8419 and 8425 N. Hubert Ave. off of Waters Avenue and near North Dale Mabry Highway.

The three-story three-bedroom and two-bath homes will be 2,143 square feet and will include decks. Prices will start at $575,000.

Prosper says six of the units will be designated live/work with dedicated office space on the first floor.

Construction will happen in two phases with the site work already underway for the first 25 homes.

Work is expected to be finished on the first homes by late next year. The remaining 15 will be finished in early 2024.
