TAMPA — Sprouts Farmers Market, a Phoenix-based chain of specialty grocery stores, plans to open a new store in New Tampa on Aug. 12, followed by another expansion, in Westchase, in October.

According to a press release, the company has also secured a site in the new Tampa Heights development, north of downtown Tampa, and will open a store there in 2021.

The 30,000-square-foot New Tampa store will be at 8620 Hunter Village Road. The Westchase store, scheduled to open on Oct. 28, will be at 10619 Sheldon Road; it will create approximately 110 jobs.

Sprouts, which first entered the Florida market in 2017 and now has 19 stores in the state, is accepting job applications for its new locations at sprouts.com/careers
