Lovin Construction building two bridges

Lovin Construction Inc. of Bradenton was awarded a $767,682-contract by the Sarasota County Commission to replace the Central Avenue Bridge at Whitaker Bayou and the Myrtle Street Bridge at Canal 3-7. The bridges will be constructed with a travel lane in each direction and bicycle lanes on each side. The Central Avenue Bridge will have a sidewalk on the east side and the Myrtle Street Bridge will have sidewalks on both sides. The bridges are scheduled to be completed by November.

The project is part of the Sarasota County Economic Stimulus Program of fast track capital-improvement projects.
