Like many in the onset of the pandemic, entrepreneur Mark Pentecost spent the early parts binging shows on Netflix and Amazon.

But as the businessman behind several successful ventures, including wellness and health products firm It Works, watched TV he thought there’s got to be something better, something that would entertain, educate and inspire. He told his wife, Cindy, he wanted to “watch something where at the end of an hour and a half or two hours I felt like I learned something.”

That was how the streaming platform Impact Professionals was born.

Known as an over-the-top, or OTT streaming service, it’s available on Roku, Amazon and Apple TV.  Yearly and monthly subscriptions are also available, at just under $10 a month or $6.67 a month for an annual deal. There’s also options to watch live, with or without ads. The shows, Impact Professional officials say, are a smorgasbord of entrepreneurial content. It includes talks from entrepreneurs and motivational leaders; exclusive access to live-streaming events; movies and series curated specifically for the Impact audience; documentaries and original programming.

Specific shows include “Entrepreneur Elevator Pitch,” which features pitches for products and businesses in an actual elevator; “Impact with John Henry,” a an entrepreneur, investor and Forbes 30 Under 30 winner; and "Made for Success," which has long-form interviews of business thought leaders, such as Mark Victor Hansen and Brian Tracy.

“We wanted to create a platform for people to come and hear the stories of ‘how I did it,’” says Pentecost, not of himself but of other successes. “We wanted to have Netflix for entrepreneurs.”

“I don’t see anything out there that’s just for entrepreneurs, for people who dream big and say ‘I want to do big and great things.’” Pentecost adds.

Mark and Cindy Pentecost’s two adult children, Kyler and Kindsey, are helping build the content and brand for Impact Professionals. Like his dad, Kyler Pentecost says the goal is to go deeper than the current be-better-at-business content out there. “We want to do more than TikTok videos,” the younger Pentecost says.

The Pentecost family knows of what they speak of when it comes to entrepreneurial success: Palmetto-based It Works has some 200 employees, a second office in Dublin and 100,000 distributors in 20 countries. It does north of $500 million in revenue, Mark Pentecost said in an interview in late 2021. The company’s flagship product, the It Works body wrap, fueled the massive growth, partially through a multi-level/affiliate marketing model. Other daily-use products include Skinny Brew, a coffee that helps burn fat and enhances energy with five plant-based sources of caffeine. Like It Works, Impact Professionals has an affiliate marketing component and campaign.

The Pentecosts launched the streaming service in July, behind what Mark Pentecost says was an investment into the multimillions. Kyler Pentecost envisions rapid growth, likening Impact to Pluto TV, an ad-supported video streaming service owned and operated by Paramount Streaming. “We want to come out strong and get this to people,” Mark Pentecost says. “We want to be competitive with the other big channels out there.”
