FORT MYERS — Sarasota-based homebuilder Neal Communities acquired 106 acres from Toll Brothers near Colonial Boulevard and Interstate 75 in Fort Myers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Neal acquired the land from Toll Brothers and it's zoned for 297 homes. The development is called Colonial Lakes, and it will include a clubhouse with a spa, fitness center and pool. The prices for the homes were not disclosed.

“We are excited to present a vibrant community that appeals to a variety of people including young professionals, families and empty nesters,” says Michael Greenberg, Neal's vice president in Lee and Collier counties, in a statement.

The homebuilder has been scouting sites in the Fort Myers and Naples area as part of its expansion plans. Neal recently acquired a parcel in north Naples. Read about this most recent transaction here.
