TAMPA — Architecture firm Gresham Smith, which has more than 30 locations nationwide, has moved its Tampa office from Harbour Island to the $500 million, 22-acre Midtown Tampa mixed-use development, near the intersection of Interstate 275 and Dale Mabry Highway.

Gresham Smith, according to a news release, will occupy 18,000 square feet of space in The Loft, a boutique office building in the heart of Midtown Tampa. The development has secured several other prominent companies, including Whole Foods, Shake Shack and REI.

“We’re very excited to welcome Gresham Smith to The Loft, an office building location like none other in the market that we describe as a 22-acre benefits package,” states Nicholas Haines, CEO of Bromley Cos., the developer of Midtown Tampa, in the release. “The Loft is a gateway to the Midtown Tampa lifestyle, a great urban fit for Gresham Smith with next-gen creative open spaces and natural light, while incorporating first-class finishes, high-tech security and state-of-the-art technological capabilities.”

Headquartered in Nashville, Gresham Smith has had a presence in Tampa since 1997, the release states. Its 70 Tampa-based employees will all be moving to The Loft.

“We’re thrilled with our new home in Tampa at The Loft at Midtown,” Gresham Smith CEO Al Pramuk states in the release. “As one of our largest offices, Tampa is a critical and growing market for our firm. This exciting new mixed-use development is centrally located in an up-and-coming district that offers a vibrant and pedestrian-friendly environment for our clients and employees.”
