ESTERO — Shadow Wood Country Club recently debuted its new indoor-outdoor casual dining venue, a $5.2 million project.

The 9,000 square foot facility features a folding glass door system for all-weather enjoyment of expansive sunset and golf course views, according to a statement. The project, which took seven months, includes a 260-seat dining space with a large octangular bar and a second kitchen. Country club architect and design firm Peacock + Lewis designed the project and DeAngelis Diamond oversaw construction.

Golfside Grill – named through a member contest – offers a sushi bar, pizza oven and a built-in soup and garden salad buffet, along with locally brewed Shadow Wood craft beer and an orange hard seltzer on tap. A wall of nine 55’ monitors together forms one giant TV screen, in addition to 16 big screen televisions positioned throughout the space, the release states. The renovation also included adding two fire pits and lounge seating to the existing five positioned around the clubhouse.

Shadow Wood Country Club President Rich Celiberti says Golfside Grill was completed on time and funded without bank loans or debt.

“Our members are excited to return for season and experience this amazing addition to our club amenities,” Celiberti says in the release. “We were also pleased it was completed with no disruption in service to our regular hours of operation this summer.”

Golfside Grill is open daily for lunch, dinner and happy hours.

A private, member-owned club in Estero, near the intersection of U.S. 41 and Coconut Road, Shadow Wood Country Club includes three different championship golf courses, including Bob Cupp-designed & Rees Jones renovated Shadow Wood North and South, and the Arthur Hills-designed course at Shadow Wood Preserve. There’s also a nine-court tennis complex, two bocce courts, a 53,000-square-foot main clubhouse and a 16,000-square-foot clubhouse at Shadow Wood Preserve.
