Company puts its game face on with promotion of new CEO

After 18 years with the organization, Blair Bloomston became the new CEO in September.

BRADENTON — Game On Nation, a media training and leadership development firm in Bradenton, recently promoted Blair Bloomston to CEO.

Bloomston, who stepped into the role in September, is a nationally recognized speaker, leader and expert on gamification in learning development, according to a press release. She brings executive experience to the role and a passion for developing workforce engagement, the release adds. 

“Our mission at Game On is to 'do our best to improve the world through purposeful and authentic engagement.' Taking care of our team should be our main priority,” says Game On Nation Founder and President Steve Shenbaum in the release. “Blair is an amazing talent, and over the last 18 years, has helped grow this business. I’m excited to celebrate her as she transitions into her new, well-deserved role here at Game On.”

Previously, Bloomston served as partner and vice president of business development at Game On Nation. In this position, she became an expert on the use of game dynamics and game theory to improve communication, leadership, team building and culture. 

Throughout her 18 years with the company, Bloomston helped shift the company’s client base from primarily elite level athletes to Fortune 100 companies, Joint Special Operations Command, the United States Olympic Committee, and the U.S. House of Representatives. She was a Business Observer 40 Under 40 honoree in 2013.

Game On Nation was founded in Los Angeles in 1997. The company uses interactive, exercise-based learning programs to build professional development in organizations, teams and individuals.
