NAPLES — Mason Classical Academy has leased more than 62,000 square feet for a new charter school on Horseshoe Drive in Naples.

Part of the Hillsdale College charter school initiative, the school will be renovating the building and moving in over four phases, according to CRE Consultants, the brokerage firm that arranged the lease.

According to the school's website, Mason Academy will offer a classical education that includes Greek, Latin and logic instruction. “A classical education is a balanced education that attends to advancing the intellect while instructing the moral character. It delivers the best content of the Western traditional canon through pedagogy that acknowledges current understanding of child development and learning,” the school says on its website.

Hillsdale College in Michigan launched its charter school initiative to promote civic and classical education in the public schools.
