TAMPA — The Bank of Tampa has expanded to Pasco County, one of the fastest-growing areas in the Tampa Bay region, opening a new loan production office in New Port Richey.

According to a press release, the office is located at 3030 Starkey Blvd. and led by recently appointed Vice President Angie Gardner, who will also serve as the bank’s commercial relationship manager.

“I am thrilled to welcome Angie Gardner to lead our bank into Pasco County,” states Scott Gault, The Bank of Tampa’s Hillsborough County market president, in the release. “Angie has spent a great deal of her banking career in the Pasco County market. She has developed deep community ties and has been an active community leader. She was hand-chosen to bring The Bank of Tampa’s brand of banking to Pasco County, and we look forward to serving our clients and creating new relationships in the Pasco market.”

Gardner, the release states, is a veteran Pasco County banker with more than 15 years of experience. Most recently, she served as vice president and relationship manager at SunTrust Bank.

“I was drawn to The Bank of Tampa because of its strong history of relationship banking and reputation for professionalism and community involvement,” Gardner states in the release. “The Bank of Tampa operates as a true community bank, while still offering the size and significance to really make an impact in the market. I am excited to watch us become an integral part of this community.”

The Bank of Tampa, with total assets of more than $1.8 billion, expanded to Pinellas County in 2012 and Sarasota County in 2017. It now operates 12 full-service branches as well as loan production offices in Plant City and, now, New Port Richey.

The bank reported $72.61 million in gross revenue in 2018, up from $62 million in 2017.
